Educational  Qualification

Applicant candidate must have passed 10th class from a recognized board or institute and experience in given trade.

Two years work experience in respective trades.

One year Certificate Course from Industrial Training Institute of Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the Trade.

Age Limit

Candidates age should be minimum 18 years and maximum  23 years  as on 1st August 2017. Age relaxation as per norms of BSF.

Pay Scale for Constable (tradesman) in BSF

Selected candidates will get the best pay scale from the organization rules and regulation. Applicants can get the official advertisement for pay scale and other additional benefits.

The post carries a Pay Band of Rs. 5200-20200/- including Grade Pay of Rs. 2000/- with such allowances that are admissible under Defence Rules.

Physical Efficiency Test

Five Kilometres (5 KMS) race to be completed within 24 minutes.

Trade Test

The candidates who will be qualified in the PET & PST exam, they will be called for Trade Test.

Each candidate will be allowed to attend the trade test.

It is qualifying the Nature and it will not carry any marks.

Written Examination

The written test will be of objective types with multiple choices questions.

The written test paper contains 100 marks and the qualifying marks of 35% for General

Category & Ex-Serviceman and 33% for SC/ST/OBC category

The duration of exam will be 2 hours.

Medical Examination

As per reserve uniform medical guideline issued by MHA.

In the Medical Examination, measuring physical & medical fitness.

The candidates, who will unfit in the medical test, no terminate immediately. They have a chance.

They can appeal within 15 days from the date of medical examination
